Client Feedback

" I was really pleased with the level of enthusiasm shown by Shona and Ryun to sourcing materials and choosing colours in line with what I was trying to achieve. I was especially happy with his attention to detail when on a site visit he picked up a detail we had overlooked during the design stage, but which made all the difference once we made the change. I take pleasure in watching the expression on people's faces as soon as they walk in the front doors. It's very gratifying, especially in our line of work.

It goes without saying that I would recommend Herniman Interiors to others, and that I would use Herniman Interiors services again on the next project. The photos of our funeral parlour speak for themselves!"

Maria Stamelos, Owner

Brief

Victoria Funerals wanted to create a neutral, sophisticated environment that supported multi-cultural beliefs and ceremonies. The challenge was to create an interesting interior using lighting and tonal variations that was both reflective and soothing.

Existing Condtitions
The venue was a run down reception centre. It had great access and plenty of parking which made it ideal for conversion to a funeral home. The existing structure of the building remained but the interior was completly remodeled.

Proposed Layout and Finishes
We worked closely with the client to understand the unique processes of a funeral home. Great care was taken in the planning to accommodate the various user groups.
